Description
Enamelled, pressed brass collar badge for 39 Battalion, featuring a '39' within an oval circled belt, the legend 'The Hawthorn-Kew Regiment' in circumference, bordered by wreath of arcanthus leaves and surmounted by the King's Crown. This design sits over a trio of scrolls bearing the motto 'Factis Non Verbis' (by deeds not words). The crown, central oval panel and scroll are enamelled in translucent red. A pair of suspension lugs are soldered to the reverse.
