Correspondence relating to the First World War service of Major Keith McKeddie Doig, 60th Infantry Battalion, 25 February - 16 November 1918.

In this collection of letters and postcards written by Doig to his fiancée, Lewis Maffra Grant, the author writes about domestic matters, active service in France and Belgium, and a period of leave in England. Doig provides a detailed account of the German Somme Offensive during April/May 1918, and documents his activities as a Medical Officer during subsequent operations including the Recapture of Villers-Bretonneux and the Battle of Amiens. In letters written during the latter half of 1918, the author increasingly reflects on his desire to return home, and descriptively recalls joyful scenes on the streets of Rouen in response to news of the Armistice.
