Correspondence between Herbert Vincent Reynolds and his family, 1917
Letters relating to the First World War service of 622 Private Herbert Vincent Reynolds, 1st Field Ambulance. These letters were written by Herbert and his mother between 2 January to 30 December 1917. In his letters he covers: his longing to return home; the items he receives in parcels from both his mother and charities; the scenery around him; his leave; reflection of his time spent as part of the AIF; the rations they receive; the details of the action which caused his hearing loss and his convalescent time in England.
