Description
Letters relating to the First World War service of Brigadier General Harold Edward Elliott, 15th Brigade. Some of the letters were censored by Pompey, and later his daughter Violet prior to donation removing details of a personal nature. The letters cover March 2019 - May 2019 detailing; locating bodies of fallen men and reburying them in proper cemetries; commanding the 8th Brigade in addition to his own; him awaiting news on when he will be able to return home; going to Buckingham Palace to watch his boys march.
