Papers relating to the First World War service of Major-General Joseph John Talbot Hobbs, 5th Australian Division, 4 March - 10 May 1918.

This collection primarily contains official records written and compiled by Hobbs relating to minor offensives carried out during March and April 1918, and the Recapture of Villers-Bretonneux on 24-25 April 1918. The collection also includes notes and a newspaper article associated with these activities, the former containing a report on the downing and subsequent death of famed German fighter pilot, Captain Manfred Albrecht von Richthofen, known as the 'Red Baron'.
