Papers relating to the First World War service of Major-General Joseph John Talbot Hobbs, 5th Australian Division, 7 June - 31 July 1918.

This collection primarily contains official records written and compiled by Hobbs relating to the Battle of Hamel on 4 July 1918. This material comprises a 5th Australian Division Diary of Operations for 4-5 July 1918, associated messages of congratulation and a detailed report on the battle.
