Chaplains stole : Chaplain C W Dillon
Description
Chaplain's black stole with scalloped ends. The stole is embroidered with a King's Crown and the letters 'F C' on each side. The upper left side has a medal ribbon bar pinned to it with the ribbons for the Defence Medal, British War Medal 1939-45 and the Australia Service Medal.
History / Summary
Worn by NX147635 Chaplain Cecil William Dillon. Chaplain Dillon served at St Andrew's Church of England parish in Strathfield, NSW and on enlistment in the AIF joined units in the Northern Territory, including a period at Larrimah. Chaplain Dillon was discharged on 13 March 1946, with the rank of Captain, from HQ 2 Aust Sup Bde.
