Diary of Lindsay Robert Turner, 1918 (Vol. 4)
Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Lindsay Robert Turner, 14th Field Artillery Brigade. The diary contains entries from 6 May 1918 to 11 July 1918 and is the fourth of seven volumes written by Turner documenting his service during the war. The diary entries cover his service on the Western Front as part of the 53rd Field Artillery Battery and includes details of the battle of Hamel on 4 July 1918. The diary appears to have been transcribed from originals at some stage after his service in the war.
