“Dustoff” was the codename for casualty evacuation by helicopter.  This photograph shows a Dustoff in progress.  The casualties resulted when the M113A1 armoured personnel carrier in the background ran over an anti-tank mine.  Engineers who have swept the area for mines stand in the foreground.  Note the Red Cross on the helicopter at the top right hand side of the photograph.
