A Walk in the Light Green

“Greens” refers to the standard Australian field uniform during the Vietnam War, more properly known as Jungle Greens. Made of cotton they were worn along with a “Slouch Hat” on parade, but with a “Bush Hat” when in the field. An example “Bush Hat” shown was also colloquially known as a “Giggle Hat”. The green of the “Bush Hat” was very close to that of “Greens”.
