Biographical note: Gunner Alexander Sutherland Mackay, 8 Field Artillery Brigade, AIF, who while visiting Italy during furlough, died on 18 December 1918 of bronchial-pneumonia in Turin. Other biographical details concerning him are: Bank manager (Bank of Australasia) of Brisbane; educated at Grammar School, Brisbane; age at time of death, 34 years 6 months.
