Letters from Wilfred Evans to his family, 1916
Description
Letters relating to the First World War service of Major Wilfred Evans, Australian Army Medical Corps. In this series of letters from 1916, Evans details the period from his return to Egypt to his continuing service with 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance (attached to the 9th Light Horse Regiment) in the Sinai region. Evans also describes the battles of Romani and Magdhaba. The majority of letters lack location details due to censorship requirements at the time.
