Series 1: Personal Letters, 1914-1918
Description
This series consists of two bound volumes of typed transcripts of letters written by General Sir John Monash during the First World War and a folder of miscellaneous letters written between 1914 and 1918. The main correspondents include his wife and daughter, with others addressed to his business partner, John Gibson and his friend Dr Felix Meyer.
Selected and edited versions of these letters were published in War letters of General Monash by F M Cutlack, 1934.
