Description

This folder contains 18 speeches, addresses and other papers written by Birdwood between 1932 through to the years of the Second World War. A telegram from Lieutenant General Cyril Brudenell Bingham White to Birdwood is also included. Some of the subjects discussed in these papers include Birdwood’s visits to Australia, memories of the First World War, the Great Depression, coronation of King George VI and the advent of the Second World War.
