A general view of the countryside around a German observation tower (background, left) taken at Flavion. The tower was used for sighting aeroplanes and was connected by telephone and electric wires to a large aerodrome at Morville about two miles away. The building to the right of the tower was still extent as at November 2021, and was located on Rue du Péry, 5620 Florennes, Belgium, at 50°15'43.9"N 4°43'31.3"E.
