This transcript was made of the second bound volume of Richards’ diaries and covers the period 25 April 1915 to 25 January 1916. As such the entries detail: the landing at Gallipoli and the work of the 1st Australian Field Ambulance during the Gallipoli campaign; the August Offensive; Richards’ medical evacuation to and convalescence in Egypt; his return to Anzac in late October; and the evacuation of Anzac in December. This transcript was made by the Australian War Memorial in 1935.
