Learning from home
We have a range of virtual tours, activities and resources to help you learn about our military history, commemoration, and people who have served for Australia.
Classroom Resources
For students, teachers and homeschooling parents, the Memorial’s Classroom Resources website has many educational activities to keep everyone busy.
Arts and Craft
You’ll find instructions on how to make a paper poppy and a memorial wreath, as well as some colouring in sheets that’ll bring the Anzac story to life.
Online tours
While the Memorial isn’t open to visit for schools and families, there are still opportunities to explore online tour options. They include Tiny Tours – short films for early learners that encompass a tour and craft activity; Virtually There – thirty-minute films that encourage primary and secondary students to explore the Australian War Memorial and its collection.
Free eBooks and publications
These books are made available to download free of charge for classroom and educational use.
Games
You might be in lockdown at home, but you can still enjoy time with friends and family. Jump on a video call and play the Anzac Day quiz or set up your own game of virtual two-up.
