Description

Tan 'Plat A Tac' Minimi ammunition pouch. The pouch is designed to take one 200 round box or 200 rounds of linked ammunition for the F89 Minimi. A rectangular piece of hardened plastic has been sewn into the lining to give the pouch some shape and stability. The pouch's flap is single layer cordura which has been seamed with nylon tape and double stitched. On top of the flap has been sewn the maker's label, which is a black rectangle with 'PLAT A TAC' stitched in green cotton, followed by the Platypus logo, also stitched in green cotton. The flap is secured to the pouch by a 'Fastex' clip. The receiver end is stitched to the flap and is marked on the reverse with the maker's details 'FASTEX NZ / PAT APP / MODEL SR-IM' in raised lettering. The clip is adjustable and is threaded onto a piece of 25 mm nylon tape that has been sewn to the front of the pouch. This allows the flap of the pouch to be more firmly secured when closed. Each side of the pouch has a piece of 25 mm nylon tape sewn to the pouch at one end and secured by a press stud at the other. These tapes are designed to attach a toggle rope, or two smaller pouches. At the base of the pouch are two metal eyelets for drainage. On the reverse of the pouch is a piece of 50 mm nylon tape running horizontally from one side of the pouch to the other. Sewn into this are three evenly spaced loops with plastic 'D' rings attached. These rings allow the pouch to be attached to various personal equipment sets.
