Description

The tan coloured cordura belt has five pouches attached. The three central pouches are designed to each hold two magazines for the M4 carbine and other weapons used by Australian special forces. These pouches are secured by Velcro tabs. The central pouch has the maker's label, a black rectangle with green embroidered writing 'PLAT A TAC' followed by the platypus logo. The two outer pouches are designed to carry food or small items of equipment that would be required if the wearer was forced into an escape and evasion situation. These two pouches are secured by 'Fastex' clips and use nylon tape to adjust the security of the pouch flaps. All pouch flaps have been edged with nylon tape which has then been sewn in place. The bottom of each pouch has a metal eyelet for drainage. The cordura fabric is backed with a breathable, water repellent coating. The belt is fastened by a 'VELCRO' brand plastic fastener. The receiver end is sewn to 50 mm nylon tape, the clip end is threaded onto 50 mm nylon tape and the fit is adjusted using this tape. The belt is designed to be worn with the pouches foremost and the fastener at the rear.
