402730 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Albert Henry Comber rests (left) while 402379 Flt Lt Colin George Milson (right) prepares to polish his boots somewhere in the Western Desert. Flt Lt Comber enlisted with the RAAF on 14 October 1940. He was taken a prisoner of war when his Beaufort MK 2 AW 295 was shot down near Cape Stillo, Italy on 20 August 1942. Flt Lt Comber survived his internment and was discharged on 18 July 1946. Flt Lt Milson later went on to become Wing Commander Colin G Milson, DSO and Bar, DFC and Bar, Commanding Officer, 455 Squadron RAAF. See also P00631.006 and ART27642.
