One of a series of posters called 'Headlines of History' produced by Newseum and the Office of International Information Programs, US Department of State, in 2002 to mark the anniversary of the events of September 11. Many of the newspaper front pages featured in 'Headlines of History' were first seen together in the 12th of September 2001 exhibit 'Today's Front Pages' produced by the Newseum, Arlington, Virginia. 'Headlines of History' was shown in several places around the world.This poster depicts the front page of the Standart News, published in Russia, on the 13th of September 2001. The main image shows scene of devastation after the collapse of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, after planes hijacked by terrorist crashed into the buildings. The streets are filled with rubble and emergency vehicles. The buildings near the site also show signs of damage.
