Description

Studio portrait of thee soldiers of the 16th Battalion. All are identified but their exact position unknown. 1362 Sgt Norman Ray Watts, 16th Battalion of Mount Barker, SA who was killed in action on 11 April 1917 at Bullecourt, France. He had previously been wounded twice in Gallipoli and once on the Somme. This is a photograph from Sister Imlay's collection held in the Private Records Collection at PR87/107.
