Two Provincial Reconnaissance Unit (PRU) scouts moving toward a hamlet in the Phu Cat area. The PRU, led by Warrant Officer Class 1 E. B. (Ossie) Ostara, Australian Army Training Team (AATTV), conducted an immediate cordon and search of the area, after receiving intelligence that Viet Cong guerillas were operating from the hamlet and demanding food from the villagers.
