Description

Studio portrait of 4761 Private (Pte) James Andrew Duncan Le Briton (served as James Andrew Duncan), 53rd Battalion, of Croydon, NSW. A builder prior to enlisting on 15 August 1915 in Ashfield, NSW, Pte Duncan embarked from Sydney, NSW aboard HMAT Star of England on 8 March 1916. He was killed in action at Fleurbaix, France, on 19 July 1916, and is buried in VC Corner, Australian Cemetery, France.
